Shuffling cards and seating players
opolyx now has a Market: dice, tokens, avatar frames, victory effects, Zip stickers, taunts and field cards, all bought with coins.
You roll, and the dice tumbling across the board are yours — gold faces, dark pips — and everyone at the table sees them. Your token carries a rocket inside your seat’s colour, and a laurel wreath circles your avatar. When you win, coins rain down on the result screen of everyone at the table.
The Market sells seven kinds of item, all for coins:
Everything in the Market is bought with coins, and coins are bought with money: 4 packs, from 300 coins for $2.99 to 2,000 coins for $19.99, by card or with crypto. Every price in the Market shows what it is worth in dollars. Coins arrive as soon as the payment is confirmed. They are spent only in the Market: they cannot be cashed out or sent to another player, and they do not expire.
Anything in the Market can be a gift. Choose Gift on an item, type a player’s nickname, and it goes straight to their items with your name on it; a dot on their Market tab tells them it is there. You can send up to 10 gifts a day.
A taunt is one line you choose — “Thanks for the rent!” or “Rematch? I’ll be waiting.” When a player goes bankrupt because they could not pay you, they see it as they leave the game, and nobody else does. A taunt never reaches a newcomer or a teammate, a player who has blocked you never sees yours, and anyone can turn taunts off — on the taunt itself, or under My items.
Field cards are the only items in the Market that change a game. A card adds rent on its field — from +5% for a common card to +30% for a legendary one — starting with your next game. They are the same cards you can win as you level up: one card per field, so a card you already won cannot be bought again, and a field’s card bonus never goes past +30%.

Yes — on the taunt itself, or under My items. A taunt is shown only to the player who could not pay you, never to a newcomer, and never from a player you have blocked.
Every coin moves through one ledger, and a balance is always the sum of its lines, so it can never fall below zero. A purchase — the coins out and the item in — is one database transaction tied to your click: a double tap or a retried request is the same purchase, never a second charge.
Prices live in one place in the code, which both the page and the server read. If a price changes while the page is open, the server answers with the new one instead of charging a figure you did not see.
Designs are drawn on screen and never touch the game’s rules. A field card’s bonus is fixed when a game starts, so a card bought mid-game counts from the next one. Replays show every game without designs.
