Monopoly Online Multiplayer — Free, Up to 6 Players
opolyx is a free online multiplayer Monopoly-style game for up to 6 players. Open a private room, send one link, and everyone joins from their own phone or computer — no download and no setup. Fill any empty seat with a bot so the game starts the moment you are ready rather than when the last person arrives.

Real multiplayer is the part most browser board games get wrong: either everyone has to install something, or the room dies waiting for a fourth player. opolyx runs the whole match on an authoritative server, so every roll and payment is checked centrally, players can drop in from any device, and an empty seat is a bot rather than a blocker.
How a multiplayer game works
- 1Open a room
Pick Classic, Speed or Team mode and how many seats the table has — anywhere from 2 to 6.
- 2Share one link
Send the room link to everyone. They open it on a phone, tablet or computer; there is nothing to install.
- 3Fill the empty seats
Add bots to any seat nobody claimed, so you never sit waiting for a full table.
- 4Play the board
Take turns rolling, buying, building and charging rent, with turn-based auctions and trades in between.
- 5Finish and rank up
Every seat earns XP by where it placed, and results feed the global and weekly leaderboards.
Up to 6 players, solo or in teams
Three modes change how a multiplayer table plays, not just how fast:
| Mode | What multiplayer looks like |
|---|---|
| Classic | The full game, 2–6 players, everyone for themselves. |
| Speed | A third die, sharper rents and a mortgage timer — built to finish in one sitting. |
| Team | 2v2 or 3v3, where a team wins together and teammates can prop each other up. |
| Mixed table | Any combination of people and bots in the same room, in any mode. |
Nobody around to play right now?
Two things stop an online room from going stale. Bots fill any seat you leave open, so a game of two is still a full board. And rooms other people have opened are listed in the lobby, so you can join a table that is already forming instead of starting one and waiting. If you would rather play entirely on your own, every seat can be a computer opponent.

Multiplayer questions
Is there a free multiplayer Monopoly-style game online?
Yes. opolyx is free to play in any browser, for every player at the table. There are no in-app purchases and no ads during a match.
How many people can play at once?
Up to 6 players share a board. You can also run 2v2 or 3v3 in Team mode, where a team wins together rather than a single player.
Do my friends need to install anything?
No. They open the room link in a browser on a phone, tablet or computer. The game can also be installed as an app from the browser if someone prefers a launcher icon.
Can we play in a private room?
Yes — a room is only reachable by its link, so sharing it with your group is what keeps the table private.
What happens if someone leaves mid-game?
The match keeps running. A turn timer moves play along if a player goes quiet, so one person walking away does not freeze everyone else.
Can we play across different countries?
Yes. The game is served worldwide and localized into 10 languages, and each player reads the board in their own language while sharing the same table.
