Terms of Service

opolyx ("opolyx", "we", "us") is an online multiplayer board game available at opolyx.com. By creating an account or otherwise using the game, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

These terms apply to the website and the game in their current form. opolyx is under active development, and some features may be added, changed, or removed over time.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use opolyx. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

By using the service you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

You sign in with a one-time email link ("magic link"), a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google or Apple. opolyx does not use passwords. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, and for activity that happens under your account.

You can ask us to delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy for what is removed and what is kept.

One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage (for example, to seat extra players you control in a game) is not allowed.

opolyx is meant to be fair and fun. You agree not to:

• use cheats, bots, scripts, automation, or any tool that interacts with the game on your behalf;
• exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended behavior instead of reporting them;
• collude with other players, including via additional accounts, to manipulate a game;
• harass, threaten, impersonate, or abuse other players in chat or nicknames.

We may respond to violations with a warning, a nickname reset, temporary suspension, or termination of your account, at our discretion.

Gameplay involves in-game cash, "coins", field cards, and similar virtual items. These are part of the game experience only. They have no real-world monetary value, are not your property, and are licensed to you for use within opolyx.

Coins, where offered, are non-withdrawable store credit and can never be cashed out or exchanged for money. Optional paid extras are described in "Paid products" below. We may add, modify, expire, or remove virtual items, and adjust game balance, at any time.

opolyx is free to play. There is no wagering of real money and no real-money prizes. Optional paid extras are described in "Paid products" below and are offered only where permitted by applicable law; buying one never creates a chance to win money or a prize.

opolyx is free to play. Some optional extras are offered for sale — currently VIP status. Buying one is never required to play, and nothing in the game is locked behind a payment.

• VIP grants an in-game bank loan you may take during a match and repay with interest, and a VIP marker beside your nickname. The current price and duration are shown on the VIP page before you buy.
• VIP is a one-off purchase of a fixed period. It is NOT a subscription: it does not renew, and you are never charged again. Buying again while VIP is active adds to the time you already have.
• VIP is a digital service delivered immediately once your payment is confirmed.

You can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, WeChat Pay, or in cryptocurrency; the checkout page shows which methods are available and takes the payment. We do not receive, handle, or store your payment credentials — the provider tells us only whether an invoice was paid and for how much — and the provider's own terms apply to the payment itself.

• Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and WeChat Pay payments are processed by Dodo Payments (Dodo Payments Inc., 8 The Green, STE A, Dover, DE 19901, United States). For those payments Dodo Payments acts as the merchant of record: it is the seller of the transaction, it issues your invoice, and it is responsible for any applicable VAT or sales tax.
• Cryptocurrency payments are processed by trybit, which acts as a payment gateway only. On that route opolyx remains the seller, and a transfer cannot be reversed by us or by the gateway once it has been made.

Refunds and cancellations. If you were charged and VIP was not activated, if you were charged twice, or if the purchase was not made by you, write to support@opolyx.com and we will resolve it. Where you paid by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or WeChat Pay, refunds and chargebacks are handled by Dodo Payments as the merchant of record, and we will pass a valid request on to them. A cryptocurrency payment cannot be reversed, so on that route we will put it right by granting or extending the VIP you paid for. Outside those cases VIP is not refundable once it has been activated, for the reason given next.

Because the service is delivered immediately, by completing a purchase you ask us to begin performance at once and you acknowledge that, once VIP has been activated on your account, you lose any statutory right of withdrawal that would otherwise apply to digital content.

VIP has no real-world monetary value and cannot be cashed out, transferred, or exchanged. We may change the price, the duration, or what VIP includes for FUTURE purchases; a purchase you have already made is not affected. If we terminate your account for a breach of these terms, any remaining VIP time is forfeited.

You are responsible for the content you submit, including chat messages, stickers, and your nickname. By submitting content you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display it for the purpose of operating the game.

Do not submit content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, harassing, deceptive, or otherwise objectionable. We may review, moderate, or remove content and may limit messaging (for example, rate limits) to keep the game healthy.

The opolyx name, software, design, and original content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws.

opolyx is an independent game. It is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with Hasbro, the makers of the MONOPOLY board game, or any of the third-party companies or brand names that may appear on the game board. All such trademarks, logos, and brand names are the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification and gameplay purposes only.

We work to keep opolyx available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, perform maintenance, or limit access, with or without notice.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, opolyx and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, virtual items, or in-game progress, arising from your use of the service.

You may stop using opolyx at any time and may leave a game from the lobby. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or to protect the service and its players.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may be highlighted in the game. Continuing to use opolyx after an update means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s jurisdiction (to be finalized before public launch). Nothing in these terms removes consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
