XP, Levels and Ranks in opolyx: How Progression Works
XP measures how well you play. Every player who finishes a game earns some — winning earns by far the most — and each level you reach gives you a rank on your profile and, at milestone levels, a collectible card that raises your rent on one field.
How you earn XP
XP comes from finished games. Every seat earns, not only the winner, and the amount depends on where you placed and how you played. The first level-up costs just 60 XP, so one decent game is enough to move up.
| Result | XP |
|---|---|
| Win the game | +200 |
| Finish 2nd | +50 |
| Finish 3rd | +30 |
| Finish 4th or lower | +15 |
| Each monopoly you still hold at the end (up to 3) | +10 |
| Still in the game when it ends | +20 |

Daily and weekly missions pay XP on top of this. Each mission card shows exactly how much, and it is credited the moment your game ends — there is nothing to claim.
How to level up quickly
- 1Play the game to the end
Leaving early gives up the survival bonus, and a game that ends in the first few rounds pays nothing at all.
- 2Complete a colour group
Every full monopoly you still hold when the game ends adds XP, for up to 3 of them.
- 3Aim for the podium
Second and third place both pay more than finishing further down the table.
- 4Win
First place is worth more than everything else on this list put together.
Levels
The early levels are deliberately cheap, so you can see progress in your very first match instead of after a week. Level 2 costs 60 XP.
| Level | Total XP |
|---|---|
| 2 | 60 |
| 3 | 220 |
| 4 | 480 |
| 5 | 840 |
| 10 | 4,140 |
| 16 | 11,400 |
From level 16 onward every level costs the same 1,500 XP, so the climb settles into a steady pace instead of getting slower forever.
Ranks
Your level gives you a rank. It appears next to your name on your profile, in the leaderboard and in the site header — so other players can see it too.
| Rank | From level |
|---|---|
| Qualifier | 1 |
| Bronze | 3 |
| Silver | 6 |
| Gold | 10 |
| Platinum | 15 |
| Diamond | 21 |
| Master | 28 |

Cards for reaching a level
Levels 3, 5, 7, 10, 13, 16, 20 — and every 5th level after that — drop a collectible property card. Owning a card raises the rent you collect when an opponent lands on its field:
| Card rarity | Rent bonus |
|---|---|
| Common | +5% |
| Rare | +10% |
| Epic | +20% |
| Legendary | +30% |
What XP does not do
- It cannot be bought and it cannot be spent. It only ever goes up.
- It does not affect who you play against — any player can join any open room.
- It does not change the rules of a match. Only collectible cards affect play, and only through the capped rent bonus above.
Why did I get 0 XP for a game?
Games that end within the first 5 rounds pay nothing, which stops instant surrenders from being farmed. If the game ran longer than that and you still earned nothing, you were watching rather than playing.
Can someone be a higher level than me with less XP?
No. Level is a direct function of total XP, so more XP always means the same level or a higher one, for every player.
My level changed and I did not play. Why?
On 29 July 2026 the level curve was rebuilt so that the early levels are actually reachable, and every account was recalculated from the XP it already had. No XP was lost and nobody’s leaderboard position changed — only the number on display.
Do bots earn XP?
The practice bots do not. The regular opponents you meet in the lobby can, but they are limited to at most one reward per day, so they cannot climb past active players.
Do I earn XP in the offline version?
No. XP, levels, ranks and cards are tied to an opolyx account, so they only apply when you play on opolyx.com.
